At GO Legally Gifted (GLG), our mission is to make legal education and career opportunities accessible to every aspiring lawyer. Our Legal Ladder Mentorship Programme connects students with mentors who can guide, inspire, and support them on their journey.

We offer two pathways for mentors: Basic Mentors and Accelerated Mentors.

1. Basic Mentors

Who they are:

  • Current law students (from first year to postgraduate level).

What they do:

  • Provide peer-to-peer support for fellow students.

  • Share strategies for academic success, managing coursework, and preparing for early career opportunities.

  • Offer insights into university life and application processes for internships, societies, and competitions.

2. Accelerated Mentors

Who they are:

  • Legal professionals (lawyers, barristers, paralegals, consultants, etc.).

What they do:

  • Share professional insights, career guidance, and industry knowledge.

  • Advise on applications, CVs, interviews, and networking.

  • Help students understand specific areas of legal practice and workplace culture.

Unique Opportunity

Every mentorship cycle runs for three months and concludes with a celebratory event. At this event, mentors are given the opportunity to speak, share their experiences, and reflect on the impact of the programme. This platform allows mentors to showcase their journey while inspiring the wider GLG community.

By becoming a mentor, whether Basic or Accelerated, you are not only shaping the careers of future lawyers but also gaining leadership experience, expanding your network, and playing a key role in GLG’s global vision.
