Talent is everywhere.
Opportunity isn't. Yet.

GO Legally Gifted was founded on January 10th, 2025, to bridge the gap between legal education and real-world practice — specifically for those who have been locked out of the profession by geography, income, race, or background.

Who GLG Is For

Built for the ones
who were left out.

Whether you're just beginning to consider law or actively applying for pupillage — if the system wasn't built with you in mind, GLG was.

01

Black & Ethnic Minority Students

The legal profession has a representation problem. Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic students remain severely underrepresented at the Bar and in top law firms. GLG exists to change that — with programmes, spaces, and community centred on your experience and heritage.

BAME in Law Black Heritage Representation
02

Women in Law

Particularly Black women, women of colour, and women from working-class backgrounds who face compounded barriers. Her Law exists because these voices deserve more than a seat at the table — they deserve to help build it.

03

First-Generation & Low-Income Students

If you would be the first in your family to study law, or if private tutors, expensive applications, and unpaid internships are simply not options — you belong here. GLG levels the playing field without asking you to pretend it was ever level.

Aspiring Solicitors & Barristers

Students at every stage — from high school to final year — who have legal ambitions but lack access to mentorship, professional networks, or the insider knowledge that turns applications into offers. We provide what the system doesn't.

Crime Competition

A real advocacy competition for students who have never mooted, can't afford prep courses, and come from communities most affected by criminal law. We build the advocates those communities deserve.

Our Mission

Why GLG Exists

Too many talented people are excluded from the legal profession because of who they are or where they come from. GLG exists to challenge that — permanently.

1

Level the Playing Field

We challenge systemic inequality in legal education and recruitment — ensuring background, race, and income are no longer deciding factors in who enters law.

2

Equip Future Lawyers

We provide practical tools and knowledge to help students qualify as barristers or solicitors in England and Wales — not just aspire to it, but achieve it.

3

Celebrate Diverse Voices

We put Black, BAME, female, and working-class experiences at the centre of everything we do — celebrating them, amplifying them, and empowering those voices to lead.

4

Build Community

A community that supports each other, grows together, and makes the legal field more equitable — for this generation and every one that follows.
